Stockholmsrummet
In 2015, we were commissioned by Utsikt Kommunikation to help establish a new initiative at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. The 3D model of Stockholm on the ground floor of Kulturhuset was to be moved one floor down to a new space filled with an interactive exhibition about how, where and why Stockholm is growing – Stockholmsrummet. In close collaboration with designer Simon Gate, we developed a solution where the model of Stockholm was submerged beneath a glass floor, allowing guests to explore the city from above at their own pace. The glass floor had built-in lighting that could illuminate specific parts of the city and simulate the movement of daylight across the city over the course of a day.
Where the physical model and glass floor ended, Stockholm continued as a floor vinyl wrap covering the rest of the room. On the walls, various exhibitions were built that could be gradually replaced as Stockholm develops.
Stockholmsrummet has continued to develop, and over the years we have supplemented it with an entrance portal entirely in LED and several new wall installations.
